Vehicle alerts

As a Central Car Auctions customer, you can set vehicle alerts to make sure you never miss out on the stock you’re interested in. From the Vehicle List, you can save your search to receive email notifications when new stock arrives that matches the make, model, grade and mileage you're interested in.

Wishlist

To help you do your research before bidding, you can collate all the vehicles you’re interested in in one place through your wishlist. From your wishlist you can enable SMS notifications to be notified when the items on your list are 5 lots away from sale.

Proxy bids

Stick to your budget and never miss the chance to bid by setting proxy bids! Choose the maximum amount you want to bid on any vehicle ahead of time, and we’ll let you know if that bid is successful. Plus, you can manage these any time under My Account.

Invoicing

Keep all your invoices in one place through the Invoicing section of My Account, helping you keep track of payments and your stock.

Quality assurance

NAMA grading

To ensure you’re getting the most out of the thousands of vehicles we have available every week, we use the industry-recognised NAMA (National Association of Motor Auctions) grading scheme.

The grading system has been designed to benefit both buyers and sellers, allowing sellers to request a price based on the condition of the vehicle in relation to similar vehicles on the market, while buyers can make confident, informed decisions based on the condition and value of the vehicle.

View vehicles in person

While we love giving you the opportunity to bid and buy online from anywhere, we understand that sometimes you want to see a vehicle and the start the engine yourself before you place your bid. That’s why we encourage all our customers to visit us at our Glasgow, Stafford, Newcastle and Lingfield sites to view the stock you like in person.

High-quality imagery

Our state-of-the-art photo booths take 21 images in seven seconds, covering every angle of the vehicle so you can rely on our high-quality images to help you view the stock you’re interested in. Plus, you’ll have a suite of professional images ready to publish as soon as you purchase a vehicle.

Please note, there is an additional fee of £50 (ex. VAT) for commercial vehicles.

How do I create an account?

To create your trade account, you can register here and upload your supporting documents, including a form of photo ID, your certificate of motor trade insurance and a utility bill.

Where does auction stock come from?

We sell stock from independent garages and a range of well-known vendors throughout the UK, including Park’s Motor Group, Bridgend Motor Group, Arnold Clark, John Clark Motor Group and many more.

Do I have to be a cash buyer to buy at auction?

No, you don’t need to be a cash buyer to purchase a car at auction. We offer stock funding options through a range of companies, including MotoNovo finance, V12 Vehicle Finance, NextGear Capital and LE Capital. You can find out more about our stock funding options.

Can I inspect the vehicles before the auction?

Yes, we always encourage our customers where possible to view stock in person at our Glasgow, Stafford, Newcastle and Lingfield sites before the auction to inspect the vehicle and start the engine if they wish.

Can I test-drive the car before the auction?

While you’re not allowed to test-drive the vehicles, you’re welcome to start the vehicle to get a feel for the car and its engine.
